Ladies! as Madonna said in her song, 'Music'-makes the people come together, and I kinda share that opinion. But music has a reaction in me, like, it can makes me feel good or bad, depending on my mood, but, at least for me, life has its periods determined by a special style of music or a special song, etc... For example, anytime I hear an old Muse' song, it reminds me a sad, cloudy day, but when I listen to Violently Happy, by Björk, it reminds me of myself with my parents traveling by car, particulary to the south of Chile. Can you see how strange it may sound? but for me it's real and great and funny!XD
So... I wanted to know your stories About your memories and music! :D!!!

Egyptian Ankh

Hi hi!

How are you to day? I hope you are all right, like me =P.

Well, lets get to the point, recently (this Monday) I had a new tattoo, I truly love it, it's an Egiptian cross, also named Ank or Ankh (it's the same).
Now, "what is the meaning of the cross?" that is a question that everyone ask me, well, I will finally answer it.

That is a resume I found in a website, it's very intereting, at least for me.
If I knew how to put an image in this LJ, I would've put a picture of the Ank, so, I'm sorry XD

Now it's my turn to write something in this journal; at first I was going to write about something else, but at the last minute I changed my mind and wrote this story... I know is a little short, I but hope you like it .

"One Day in Death's Life" XD

HestSteven

Hi there everyone! This is Ange talking, and now is MY turn to shake things off in this LJ, *wicked laugh* and I’ll do it with the translation (or more exactly ‘version’) of a work we had to do for Mrs. Yamila’s class (a.k.a Yamidala XD), which consisted in writing three paragraphs with some methods. The three of them are connected, and they all are about a story of mine with no title, but with Death as its protagonist (I created it BEFORE I knew about Neil Gaiman's "Sandman" ¬¬ and it has nothing to do with it), her ‘helpers’ and a Life Spirit called Rociel.  Well, enjoy… if you can XD

And that was all! did you like it...? *cri-cri* Well, I didn't expect you to do so, and whatever, it's past midnight and I'm sleepy and I've got to get up at 6 tomorrow so deal with it, I'm just an innocent girl and I can't think of anything better by now (I lost the original copy so I had to write it all over again T.T).

Thanks for reading anyway (if you did).

This is Lehner's essay about a random topic we had to do last semester for Freddy's class. She can't post a comment here because our dear Lehner doesn't have a computer in her current house  *sad music* that's why i'm posting it, awwww.

Well, hello to everyone ^^... In this LJ I’m known as Joker Kid *grins and claps* (yes, I love the Joker, so don't mess with him u_ú), and in this post I’m going to talk about the movie “V for Vendetta”. I’ll try not to spoil too much information, so, the only thing left to say is: read at your own risk.

Translation
Well, hello to everyone ^^

Maybe you're wondering why this blog, and the name, and the icon and everything else... maybe not, but I'll explain anyways.

We're a group of 5 friends who are studying Translation, and, because one of our teachers gave us an assignment so she could evaluate our English level... and this is the most creative way we found to present our assignment.

Now, why the name? Why "Salva Veritate"? Well, that's easy to explain: "Salva Veritate" it's a latin phrase which means "Saving the Truth". So, as translators, we must save the truth from what we're translating, the essence of the words, but we also have to try not being to literal while translating from one language to another... that's why the subtitle of the journal: "Semper fidelis, nunquam a traditore" (that means "Always faithful, never a traitor")... and the icon? Well... figure it out by yourselves.

Well, feel welcome to comment (always with respect please and constructive criticism), because through this journal we want to share our opinions about different subjects, etc.

Have a nice day and see you in another post!.
